I lesson plan I might create using technology would be fill-in notes. I would probably use Microsoft Word for this lesson plan about science for second graders. With these notes, a science movie is played and instead of students taking notes on what they think might be important, I give them a peice of paper of the important notes with random blanks throughout so they can fill in the blanks easily, as long as they are paying attention to the movie.
The website I am going to use is a mammals for kids website: http://faculty.buffalostate.edu/beaverjf/mammals/sld002.htm. The website uses the general design principles and it orients the users because each screen tells users wehre they are in the presentation. The text is justified appropriately because is it evenly distributed from left to right. The colors aren't really limited though, which makes it a little busy. However, the colors are standardized. The focus isn't limited to anything in particular but all the information is impotant.
Copyrighting is a huge deal especially when it comes to teachers because the information used is so widely reproduced and used. Fair use means sighting the true and original author of the works and not trying to pass if off as one's own. I might deal with these concepts by using as little of other people's work as possible. I would also be sure to site whoever the works belonged to that I borrowed. I would also make sure my students are well aware of the copyright rules and for them to be sure and only use their own work as their own.

I've used MS numerous times as a student for writing papers, doing homework assignments, taking notes in class and making study guides. MS has been really useful because I can type paper and monitor my word count, margins, ect. I have also been able to bring my computer to class and keep up with fast talking teachers by using MS and bullets. I have also been able to make really effective study guides for several of my classes. I've seen teacher's use MS to post study guides, notes and make assignments.
I would use MS word as a teacher to make newsletters to send home, letters to parents, permission slips, homework assignments, quizzes and tests in class. I could also use MS in the classroom as a reference for note taking.
New skills I have learned in this class include the bullet-making skills, the personalized letter to a classroom of students, how to use clip art, banners, borders, and make columnms. I know these things will all be especially useful in the classroom because teacher's use MS all the time to make the letters, homework assignments, tests and quizzes. It would be very useful to make MS documents that are professional looking and personalized; also MS documents that are easy to grade and easy to read and understand for parents.
A paragraph on new skills you acquired in the class so far that you think will be especially useful to you in your educational career and why you think so.
